"Promoting Our Profession & Caring For Our Colleagues"

Welcome to the Australian Prison Officers Association website.

The Australian Prison Officers Association has a website that seeks to inform potential members, members, interested parties and stakeholders on the latest news and affairs concerning our industry and to promote the public profile of Prison Officers here in Australia and Internationally.

The establishment of the APOA is purely for the promotion of networking opportunities amongst professionals, promotion of the profession of Prison Officer, Correctional Officer, Custodial Officer or people working within the Prison industry and to support the families of those people concerning matters of a welfare nature.

The APOA is not a Union and does not, in itself, provide Industrial Relations advice. However, we do encourage all Prison Officers to participate in trade Union and Industrial Associations providing such services.

The APOA is resourced and funded by Workers First Australia Pty Ltd which is an Incorporated Law Firm specialising in Industrial Law and APOA members are free to consider joining the Workers First Legal Fund.
