Workers First Training Courses In Partnership With The Gold Coast Training College

Brian Newman, founder of Workers First and
Rae-Anne McMahon founder of the Gold Coast training College both worked in the Queensland Department of Corrective Services (DCS) during the 1990's and 2000's where they worked together at the Operational Support Services Unit (OSSU).

Brian and Rae-Anne were both interested in training and development in those days and Rae-Anne took her passion for training one step further by taking on the much sort after role of Staff Development Officer (SDO), whilst Brian moved into the Investigation and Advocacy fields, later to become the State President of the Queensland Prison Officers Association (QPOA) and he presently presides as the President of the Australian Prison Officers Association (APOA).

When asked for his opinion of the Gold Coast Training College founder Brian said "Rae-Anne is as trustworthy and as ethical as any person I have ever had the pleasure to work with and I am proud to have our respective companies in association with each other in the advance of workers interests. I wholly endorse
Rae-Anne McMahon and the
Gold Coast Training College."
